Being an MPA PRO has helped me to really feel how my efforts contribute to the vital collective work of supporting local communities in natural resource management. The WIO-COMPAS certification process helped me by exposing me to different competency areas which helped me a lot especially after my transition from field work activities to management activities. The program allows the assessor to see my personal capacity and advised accordingly. Generally it has helped me to improve my working performance, expose me to ideas outside my comfort zone and adviced me on areas to work on to improve my capacity at work.

I do appreciate the contribution of the WIO-COMPAS certification programme to my career development as it equipped me with the relevant skills and knowledge on MPA management.
