Management Training for EA-SA-IO MPAs Manual

Training for the Sustainable Management of Marine Protected Areas in the EA-SA-IO Region: A Training Manual for MPA Managers and Staff. These modules that form the training course have been compiled by drawing on both the existing South African and WIOMSA MPA training programmes as well as some of the many excellent existing materials available to the field. New material has been added to existing material where it was considered necessary. One of the main aims of developing the modules in this way has been to enhance access to these materials, all of which are also included on a CD-ROM which forms part of the course material. It is hoped that the training manual will prepare participants to undergo the WIO-COMPAS certification process. The focus has been on building capacity in the core competencies required by the WIO-COMPAS programme.
