Empowering Marine Managers
In September 2023, the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) and the Blue Nature Alliance convened a landmark MPA finance workshop. This gathering brought together marine managers from across the Western Indian Ocean region to address critical financial challenges facing MPAs. Out of this collaboration emerged the MPA Finance Toolkit, tailored specifically to the needs and insights shared by workshop participants.
