The Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) is delighted to invite you to apply for a 6-days in person Blue Leadership Multiplier Workshop from 14th-19 June 2022, in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Your application will be accepted until the 31st of March 2022.
Objective
With the Blue Leadership Multipliers Workshop, marine environmental change agents engage in cutting-edge leadership learning. The journey supports you
- to develop individual and collective leadership skills;
- to implement change;
- to make a difference for sustainable marine and coastal ecosystem management;
- to jointly find solutions for issues and problems; and
- to be a multiplier for Blue Leadership within their teams, institutions, networks, systems and spheres of influence.
Participant Profile
We invite applications from participants with the following profile:
- Coastal zone practitioners and professionals leading marine and coastal management initiatives, projects (at local, national, and regional level), Conservation managers in charge of a network of MPAs/LMMAS in the Western Indian Ocean.
- Experience in or with leadership in practice (taking responsibility, leading people, engaging for a topic or alike)
- Curiosity to experience experiential educational concepts
- High level of self-reflection and interpersonal competencies
- English language proficiency
- Interest and willingness to be a multiplier for blue leadership approaches
WIOMSA will cover all the costs pertaining to this training for multipliers
