In a significant stride towards marine conservation, the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) has announced the launch of a regional call for proposals as part of the “Coastal Ecosystems Resilience of populations and coastal ecosystems in the South-West Indian Ocean” (RECOS) project. Supported by the Agence française de développement (AFD) and the Fonds français pour l’environnement (FFEM), this initiative aims to promote demonstrative field actions fostering the restoration, management, and sustainable use of marine and coastal ecosystems.
Interested parties are invited to submit concept notes, with the deadline set for 4th December 2023. For inquiries and submission, questions can be sent via email to recos@coi-ioc.org.
To facilitate understanding and provide additional details, RECOS has organized an online informational session on Friday, 23rd October 2023, at 10:30 AM (Mauritius time, GMT+4). The session, conducted in French with English translation provided, will offer valuable insights into the call.
