On November 28th, the final results of the first phase of the SwAM Ocean project were presented during an online meeting with representatives of the WIOMPAN and other MPA specialists from the WIO region. Beyond the results of this first phase, two case studies from the WIO region were presented. First, members of the Mafia Island Marine Park team (Tanzania), Masanja Joran and Maria Pentzel, presented their
progress in revising the MPA Management Plan for the site. And following that, the Director of the National Park Nosy Tanihely (Madagascar), Landisoa Randimbison, shared insights and recommendations after their work with adaptive management tools to revise their management plan. At the end of the session, some ideas were shared for the next phase of the SwAM Ocean project (still in preparation).

You can find the session recording (including an English audio file with the translation of the presentation from Nosy Tanihely, and another audio file with the full French translation of the session) in this folder. You will also find the slides presented for both case studies and the slides with the results of the first phase of SwAM Ocean, including the ideas for the next phase.
