The continent is also expected to experience an average increase in atmospheric temperature of between 1.8 and 4.3\u02daC by 2080, which is 1.5\u02daC higher than the global average. As a result, it will likely experience much more significant climate change impacts than elsewhere, which will compound existing socio-economic challenges and vulnerabilities. This course provides a comprehensive overview of key climate change adaptation issues of relevance to African local governments and offers tangible examples of good practice.
